Jason Gotcher joined Triumph F.C. in 2016 as a Staff Coach and is very active in various skills training sessions and private training for all ages. Jason is a native of Midland , TX where he attended Midland Lee High School. At Midland Lee, he was a member of the Rebel Varsity soccer team and voted Honorable Mention All District Forward. Jason played club soccer and was Team Captain for the Midland Blast '76 and Black Magic '75 soccer teams, and was coached by Manu Sanon (former Haiti World Cup Player and Haitian Athlete of the Century) and Alvin Alexander (Former Head Coach- Xavier University). He was involved in the North Texas State ODP program since age 12 and was a member of the North Texas Soccer's State team his Sophomore and Junior years playing for coach Alan Kirkup (Univ. of Florida). Jason received a soccer scholarship to play NCAA Division I College Soccer at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) where he received the Sunbelt Conference's Scholar Athlete Award. He transferred to Texas Tech and played for the club team which won the 1997 National Club Championship. Jason has played Semi-Professionally for the Lubbock Sand Devils, Lubbock Lonestar, and the DFW Mustangs. In November of 2008, Jason signed a Professional contract to play for the Texas Outlaws of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) playing as a Forward and Mid-fielder.
In January of 2007, Jason was awarded the United States Soccer Federation's National "A" license. He did the USSF "A" Audit Renewal course in 2010 at Home Depot Center in Carson, CA and USSF "A" Audit Renewal in January 2014 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Jason's license is now valid until 2019. Jason has coached with several club teams in Midland, Lubbock, Little Rock , and the DFW area including coaching with Odyssey Soccer Club dating back to 2002. He holds Collegiate Coaching experience as an Assistant Coach for the Women's Program at North Lake Junior College during the 2017 year. In the fall of 2003, Jason joined SMU soccer's radio broadcast team and worked as the color analyst for both the Men's and Women's programs along side of Ray Canevari. Jason has worked as a Staff Coach each summer at University of Notre Dame's Women's Soccer Camp every year dating back to 2009. Jason earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Texas Tech University in May of 1998 and in December of 2001 received a Master's Degree in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University. Jason is a certified Mediator in accordance with Ch.154, Texas Civil Practices Code and is employed full-time as a Network Engineer. Jason currently lives in Flower Mound, TX.
