President

John grew up playing soccer in the Chicago area and played for a select soccer club in Arlington Heights, IL. His select team, which included former U.S. National Star and current National team GM Brian McBride, won a State Cup Championship and numerous league titles. John’s high school team, which was the #1 ranked team in the country by USA Today prior to his senior season, was also very successful as they won Sectional, Regional, and Conference championships.

John is a graduate of Kansas State University. He has been a part of Triumph FC for 18 years as a coach and is currently the club President. He is also the current assistant coach for the boys 2012 Silva and Ederson teams.

The development of players to reach their fullest potential and acquire a life-long love of the game is why he is a part of Triumph FC. John currently holds his USSF National D License.

COO / Treasurer

Kathy manages Club finances and operations working with teams, coaches, volunteers, and parents to ensure we meet our obligations while pursuing our Club mission and goals. 

Kathy joined the Triumph family around 2003 when son Nick played for the ’93 Boys team. Volunteering time where needed eventually led to Treasurer functions. As with all non-profits, fundraising is critical to help maintain costs. Drawing on her background, she launched Triumph’s first Winter Cup tournament in 2005. 

Her passion to provide an avenue for players to continue to learn and develop not just soccer skills, but life skills along with Triumph’s philosophies, keep her involved long after her son’s graduation. 

Interest beyond soccer includes cycling, running, and water skiing. More recently, chasing after two grandson’s, perhaps future Triumph players.

Technology

Matt manages the club website, Spirit Shop, and all the backend technology. His daughter, Conner, was a 2005 goalkeeper for the club and now plays Division 2 soccer at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO.
